Frequently asked questions

How is the last working day calculated?

The last working day is your resignation date plus the number of notice days in your contract, counted as plain calendar days including weekends and holidays. So a 30-day notice handed in on January 1 ends on January 31.

What is the difference between calendar days and working days?

Calendar days count every day in the notice span, including weekends. Working days count only Monday to Friday in the same span, which is closer to the number of days you actually report to the office.

Does this tool account for public holidays?

No. It only excludes Saturdays and Sundays from the working day count. Public holidays vary by country and company, so check your local holiday list if you need an exact figure.

My notice period is in months, not days. What do I enter?

Convert it to days first. A one-month notice is usually treated as 30 days and a three-month notice as 90 days, though some contracts use calendar months. Use the number your employment contract specifies.

Is my data sent to a server?

No. The calculation runs entirely in your browser, so the dates you enter never leave your device.
